Winston-Salem, NC – April Hartsook, TELLY® award-winning Philanthropist, Best selling Author - Want Different Do Different® “It’s MORE than Fitness” ©2016, and the creator and driving force behind the Want Different Do Different® global health and wellness lifestyle movement is excited to announce that she has been selected to serve on the Combat Wounded Coalition’s (CWC) board of directors. The CWC’s mission is to guide combat-wounded warriors to a path of purpose and peace of mind after the impact of war by providing connections to organizations offering the best resources, programs and proven strategies for these warriors and families of the fallen.
“Serving those who have sacrificed so much for the freedoms I hold is both an honor and a privilege,” said Hartsook. “It is with great pride that I accept a CWC board of directors position to help provide direction and support of our combat servicemen and women struggling to adjust to their new “normals”. I am looking forward to combining my passionate patriotism and business acumen in efforts to have an impact on their lives, just as they have had on mine.”

April Hartsook is a television and iHeart® radio personality. She is the President and CEO of WDDD® Enterprises headquartered in Winston Salem, NC, as well as the Chief Visionary Officer of the WDDD® Lifestyle Apparel & Accessory Brand. She also serves as President for her own Non-Profit organization HartsooksHeroes®, whose mission is to inspire and empower our wounded servicewomen by promoting and facilitating overall health and wellness, specifically those who suffer from body disfigurement and physical injuries.
April is the daughter of a Retired Senior Master Chief - United States Navy, the wife of a Retired Senior Master Sergeant - United States Air Force, the sister of 3 Retired United States Navy brothers, and the proud mother of a United States Navy Veteran son.
April holds a BS in Marketing Management and Economics from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and studied her MBA abroad at the Université Dauphine in Paris, France and the H.E.C. School of Management in Bordeaux, France.
